School Uniform

At Ruyton, we take a trans-seasonal approach to our school uniform to ensure students can dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. While we continue to offer both a winter and a summer uniform, Melbourne’s climate is often unpredictable. A trans-seasonal approach provides students with flexibility and choice, allowing them to select either uniform based on comfort and weather conditions.

Please note that mixing items from the academic winter and summer uniforms, and/or PE uniforms, is not permitted. On some occasions - such as excursions or formal events - students may be required to wear a specific uniform, so it is important that they have access to the full, correct items.

Bob Stewart in Kew is Ruyton’s official school uniform supplier and offers appointments for new student fittings.

Booking a Uniform Fitting

  1. Visit www.bobstewart.com.au and select Ruyton Girls’ School.
  2. Click ‘Book Appointment’.
  3. Choose your preferred date and time.
  4. Click ‘Book an Appointment’.
  5. A confirmation email will be sent once your booking is confirmed.

If you already know your child’s sizes, you can place an order directly through the Bob Stewart website. Items can be collected via Click ’N’ Collect or shipped to your home for a $10 flat rate. Exchanges are available for unworn, unwashed items in original condition with tags, accompanied by a receipt.

Second-Hand Uniform Shop (SHUS)

Ruyton also operates a Second-Hand Uniform Shop (SHUS), offering good-quality pre-loved uniform items for all families. SHUS is located at Wardynski’s House, 25 Selbourne Road, Kew.

SHUS is open on selected dates throughout each term, published regularly in the Ruyton News.

The SHUS opening hours for 2026 will be provided in January with the shop typically open every second Thursday morning during the term.

Ruyton Merchandise

The Parents of Ruyton (POR) also offer a range of Ruyton-branded merchandise - such as beanies, drink bottles, scarves, bags, towels and coffee cups. These items are promoted throughout the year in the Ruyton News, along with links for purchasing.
