Year 7-9 Digital Device Information

Year 7-9 students at Ruyton Girls’ School are allocated a School-owned device.

A parent or guardian of a student is required to read and agree to the School Owned Digital Device Agreement prior to their daughter starting at Ruyton.

At the start of each year, we hold our start-of-year Digital Device induction. These sessions are compulsory for all Year 7 students, and all new Year 8 and 9 students. The date of the 2024 induction is Tuesday 30 January 2024, information about allocated session times for the day is available on the ‘Student Information Session’ page below.

What devices will my daughter get?

Students entering Years 7-9 at Ruyton will be issued a School-owned device and accessories for their use throughout the year. Further details about the device will be provided at the Digital Device Induction, for students who start at the start of the year, or their first day.

When will my daughter receive her devices?

The School Owned Digital Device Agreement must be read and agreed to online prior to students receiving their devices.

Students starting at the beginning of a school year

As there are a large number of students who start at the beginning of a school year, these students will partake in a training/information session. Further information about this can be accessed on the Student Information Session page above. Students are required to attend, whereas Parents/Guardians are not required to attend.

Students starting during the school year

The digital device pickup will take place on your daughter’s first day of school. Your daughter’s Year Level Wellbeing Leader will organise a time on your daughter’s first day to pick up her digital devices from the ICT Department.

Are there additional fees for digital devices and software?

The cost of digital devices and software are included in the school fees and there are no additional fees.
