- Students choosing electives for Year 10 are required to choose electives that they did not study in Year 9.
- The viability of any subject will be determined by the number of students choosing it, with subject blocking and staffing determined by student choice
- Students will be notified about which confirmed electives they will be studying during Term 4.
- Subsequent changes in chosen electives will not be possible.
FLEX TIME
Students in Years 9 and 10 will have two FLEX periods each timetable cycle (10 days). Year 10 students who study a Year 10 Unit 1&2 subject as part of their elective programme will have one FLEX period each timetable cycle.
FLEX periods will be supervised by a teacher and provide students with the opportunity to use this time as they choose to continue learning tasks or revision for any subject they are studying. FLEX periods will enable students to undertake some 'homework' tasks during the school day and also support them to develop effective organisational skills essential for VCE.
